Join us for a journey that brings the vibrant sounds and flavors of Taiwan to the heart of Prague. An exclusive tasting menu features 7 Taiwanese dishes in tapas form, showcasing a rich spectrum of Taiwanese cuisine and special seasoning—— from Indigenous Amis 阿美族菜, Minnan 臺式閩南菜, Hakka 臺式客家菜, and JuanCun 眷村菜 traditions to modern East-meets-West fusion. Crafted by award-winning chefs Chang Keh-Chin 張克勤 and Lu Kai-Yuan 路凱源, each dish offers a distinctive interpretation of Taiwan’s iconic flavors.
Hosted in the charming Šodó Bistro, each course highlights the depth and diversity of Taiwanese cuisine, blending authenticity with innovative flair. As you dine, you'll be immersed in the chefs' personal stories and the cultural inspirations that breathe life into every bite.
This event is not only a rare opportunity to indulge your palate in Taiwanese cuisine but also a unique chance to explore Taiwan's traditional music through your auditory sense. Taiwanese Hakka BaYin and BeiKuan 客家八音與北管音樂 artist Chung Chi-Yi 鍾繼儀 has been invited to deliver a live performance, featuring popular Taiwanese folk songs 臺灣民謠 and BeiKuan melody 北管曲子 during 1960s Taiwan.

Chef Chang has mastered Cantonese, Taiwan Indigenous, Taiwanese, and Japanese cuisines over nearly 25 years of culinary experience and expertise. Representing Taiwan globally, he has earned numerous awards and medals on the international stage and has served as a judge at major international gastronomic competitions.
Chef . Lu Kai Yuan 陸凱源
With over 20 years of expertise in Shanghainese cuisine, Chef Lu finds the cultural stories behind the dishes to be their most captivating aspect. He has opened two restaurants in Taiwan to offer authentic Shanghainese cuisine with a Taiwanese flair.
Musician . Chung Chi Yi 鍾繼儀
Ms. Chung has long been a band member for the RomShing Hakka Tea-Picking Opera Troupe, the MiaoLi Chen Family BeiKuan BaYin Troupe, and the QingMeiYuan LuanTan Opera Troupe. She specializes in Hakka BaYin, Hakka Opera, LuanTan Opera, and BeiKuan music, and is skilled in various instruments like the BanGu, ErHu, PangHu, and SuoNa.

After savoring degustation dinner at Šodó Bistro, we are excited to keep the festivities alive at ReFuFest the following day!
ReFuFest is a lively celebration of global cultures right here in Prague. On Sep. 6, join us at the Czech Taiwanese Association's booth in the L10 Community Center, where we'll be hosting a cozy indoor picnic with you all.
Come discover yourself a different layer of Taiwan. The joint booth will feature hands-on Indigenous cultural activities like fabric painting and grass braiding, all while you enjoy Taiwanese style picnic treats and tea.
