Tea in Taiwan is more than a beverage; it's intricately woven into local culture, particularly in culinary arts. Taiwanese tea is flavorful and filled with distinguished scents. Using tea as an ingredient or seasoning to enhance dishes, desserts, and both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks is a common practice. As modern diet trends like low-fat and vegan gain popularity, chefs are exploring tea in recipes to add deliciousness without compromising taste.
With this project, we aim to invite and "TEAse" local chefs & brands in Germany to explore Taiwanese tea as a distinctive ingredient in their culinary creations. Tea can go beyond being a liquid for hydration; it is an element of imparts flavor to people's palates and lifestyles, serving as a source of inspiration to bridge cultures and foster creativity.
